Yin Yang Series

Scoring

As in years past, an assortment of prizes will be awarded at the CSU Recognition Party at the season’s end. How does the YinYang Series work? Each individual race will be scored within gender. The top male/female CSU finisher receives 15 points, 2nd place 14 points, and so on down to 6 points for 10th place. All other participating CSU runners will receive 5 points. There are 8 races in the series, but only the top 5 point-winning performances count towards your season total. The fashion police will be out in force during the series; no points for any race in which you do not wear visible CSU gear.

There’s more! Volunteering will earn you 3 bonus points each at the Architects for Humanity 5K (May 1), Mount Washington Race (June 19), Corporate Challenge (tba), and Tufts 10K for Women (Oct 11).

Just to keep things exciting — last year’s top three men & women YinYang winners will have to work a little harder this year — as we are going to subtract 5 points for the first place, 3 for the 2nd place and one for 3rd place.

Send questions/comments to Geoffrey Kent or Catherine Cagle.
